Deadline extended for Policy Paper Writing Training application
The deadline of application for “Policy Paper Writing Training” has been extended to Sunday, September 12th, 2021.
The details about the training and how to apply are as follows:
Dates: 8-9 October, 2021
Location: Rabat, Morocco
The participants will enhance their practical writing skills to present results of their research and arguments in formats and styles effective for policy audiences.
The training program is designed to help young scholars, activists and journalists develop their skills of practical, policy-relevant writing and communication. Academic work and the policy field often reveal a gap between them, leaving policy makers in want of serious analysis and research, and academics unable to inform policy based on their research. The public policy paper writing is aimed at training a group of young researchers and professionals from Morocco to bridge that gap and become effective participants of sound policy discussions. The training will take place across two days of knowledge sharing and joint work. Then, potential authors will go through six months of program mentorship until the publication of their policy papers. Each participant will be assigned a mentor for the duration of six months to follow the policy paper writing and publication process. The most successful policy papers produced within the framework of this program may be published in the Moroccan Institute for Policy Analysis publication platform. In addition to the beneficiaries just described, the program will provide an honorary monetary compensation for the best policy papers. Sessions will include lectures, discussion, group work, and peer-editing sessions.
