Position Overview:
The Moroccan Institute for Policy Analysis’ internship is offered for a three-month period. Interns are expected to help with the different activities and events that the institute organizes. They are also required to assist in the different research projects that the Institute conducts. Interns may also be asked to complete an assignment that relates to one of the main Institute’s activities utilizing the knowledge and skills they have acquired over the course of the internship.
Essential Responsibilities:
The intern will assist the Institute’s team with the following:
– Assist in research;
– Support activities and attend various events organized by the Institute;
Qualifications/Requirements:
– A Master’s degree in political science, economics, international relations, sociology, anthropology or other relevant social sciences disciplines;
– Preference will be given to applicants who are currently registered as doctoral students;
– Must be dependable and proactive;
– Must have a basic understanding of, and strong desire to build a career in the research and policy analysis field;
– Must be proficient, speaking and writing, in the institute’s working languages: English and Arabic (proficiency in French is an asset);
– Good/excellent mastery of e-mail tools and Microsoft Office;
– Must be a team player with a positive attitude who is eager to learn more about policy analysis and research;

Introduction to the Institute:
The Moroccan Institute for Policy Analysis (MIPA) is an independent research institution founded by a group of researchers from different disciplines, scientific and intellectual backgrounds and is based in Rabat, Morocco. The Institute produces policy-oriented analyses in Morocco. The analyses produced by the Institute also cover various political, economic and social fields. Through its work, the Institute will endeavor to provide advice to governmental and non-governmental actors and institutions and civil society organizations of all types, in accordance with strict methodology based on neutrality and accuracy.
Working Languages: Arabic and English.
Position:
To strengthen its team and to better perform its work as an emerging research institution, MIPA is now accepting applications for “Internal Activities and Communication Coordinator” from candidates with relevant work experience in their fields.
Duties:
Under the supervision of the Director of the Institute and the members of the team, the candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:
– Assistance in research.
– Writing research proposals and fundraising.
– Supporting the various research activities organized by the Institute
Contract Details:
When: ASAP
Duration: Ten-month Consultancy agreement.
The value of the contract shall be determined by agreement between the parties.
The contract includes a two-month trial period.
